How to prepare for a blood test?

The World Health Organization recommends having all tests in the morning and on an empty stomach.

Do not eat for 12 hours before a test, do not smoke or drink alcohol, avoid vigorous physical activities and psychological stress.

The tests carried out in the Clinical Laboratory:

  • Complete blood count;
  • Urinalysis;
  • Blood chemistry (over 55 indicies);
  • Blood coagulation tests (coagulation profile, prothrombin time, international normalization ratio, D-dimers);
  • Rapid test for international normalization ratio of peripheral blood (capillary blood) using a portable analyzer;

Immunoassays for:

  • Blood type and rhesus factor using monoclonal gelation technologies;
  • TORCH infections (toxoplasmosis, measles, cytomegalovirus, herpes);
  • Hormones (thyroid and sexual hormones);
  • Tumor markers;
  • Antiphospholipid syndrome;
  • Autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic vasculitis, etc.).

All analyzers are included into the Clinic Automatic Information System with the Digital Laboratory Subsystem. The system ensures a proper and faultless registration, storage and fast access to test results.
