Be careful on the water!

The ability to swim well is one of the most important guarantees of a safe vacation on the water, but remember that even a good swimmer must observe constant caution, discipline and strictly adhere to the rules of conduct on the water.

It is best to swim in specially equipped places: beaches, pools, baths. Be sure to pre -undergo a medical examination and get acquainted with the rules of the internal routine for bathing.

In urban reservoirs, more than anywhere, it is dangerous to swim in unverified places and especially jump from steep shores and impromptu towers. Who can vouch that the reservoir that you have chosen for swimming is not used by unscrupulous drivers, lazy to take out the garbage to distant landfills, as a cesspool, on the bottom of which can be anything. Do not dive into the reservoirs with your head down - this can lead to a serious trauma of the spine, the so -called "fracture of the diver", which can forever make you disabled!

In campaigns, a bathing place should be chosen where clean water, even sand or gravel bottom, small depth (up to 2 m), there is no strong current (up to 0.5 m/s).

It is recommended to start swimming in sunny, calm weather at water temperature 17-190S, air - 20-250C. In the water, you should be 10-15 minutes, before the swim you must first wipe the body with water.

There is no constant topography of the bottom in random urban reservoirs. Yesterday's heated beach today can be a mortal danger. Going to swim, especially if you are small children, do not be lazy to check the condition of the bottom once again. This will protect you from many troubles. After cutting the leg in the pond, immediately get out of the water, rinse abundantly with clean drinking water, treat the edges of the wound with a solution of iodine or diamond greens, and the wound itself with a solution of hydrogen peroxide, and immediately consult a doctor!

It is extremely dangerous to overestimate your strength. Do not try to cross rivers, lakes and ponds to the dispute. You can argue. It is well known that people who swim well and who swim well are sinking. Most of all - swimmers who believe that they swim well. They feel in the water rather confidently and because of this confirmation of confidence, not confirmed, and drown.

Once in a whirlpool, do not panic - pick up more air in the lungs, plunge deeper into the water and, sharply scooping up with your arms and legs, swim away from the funnel.

In no case leave unattended near the open water of young children! They can drown instantly! Even in shallow water, be always with them!

If you do not know how to swim, you should not excessively trust yourself with inflatable mattresses, automobile cameras and other improvised boats.

With convulsions, you need to immediately get out of the water. If this is not possible, then it is necessary to act as follows:

1. Rinse the swimming style - swim on your back.

2. If you feel the fingers tightening, it is necessary to quickly squeeze your hand into a fist with force, make a sharp throwing with your hand in the outside, unclench your fist.

3. When the cramps of the calf muscle, it is necessary to bend, grab the foot of the injured leg with both hands and forcefully pull the foot to you.

4. When hip muscles, it is necessary to grab the leg with your hand from the outside below the lower leg at the ankle (for the rise) and, bending it into the knee, pull it with your hand with force back to the back.

5. For the possibility of producing any sharp improvised object (pin, needle, etc.)

6. The old swimmer must remember that the best way to relax on the water is the position “lying on your back”.

In order to get rid of the water that gets into the respiratory tract and interfering with breathing, you need to stop immediately, with energetic movements of the arms and legs to hold on the surface of the water and, raising your head as high as possible, clench back a lot.

What to do if a person is drowning before your eyes?

Remember: it is dangerous to swim to the drowning man - a person in a panic can pull you after him. Do not let me grab for you. It is necessary to transport the victim so that his respiratory tract is above the surface of the water. If the delivered to the shore is in an unconscious state, it is necessary to free his respiratory tract from water. To do this, tilt it through the knee, putting your head on your stomach down. Then shake several times. You can take a child or a teenager by the legs and shake your head down. If the condition has not improved, it is necessary to perform artificial ventilation of the lungs and indirect heart massage. Follow the children especially carefully, because there are cases when the kids were choking on water even on shallows.

In order to avoid an accident on the water, follow the simple rules:

  • Use only equipped beaches. Or, if they are not there, determine the permanent place for bathing by checking it from the point of view of safety.
  • Learn to swim.
  • Do not jump from cliffs and random towers without checking the bottom.
  • Do not swim for buoys and do not try to cross the ponds.
  • Do not swim to the shipyard.
  • Do not bathe intoxicated.
  • Do not try to swim on logs, boards, home -made rafts.
  • Do not bathe in cold water for a long time.
  • Do not sail far from the shore on inflatable mattresses and circles if you do not know how to swim.
  • While boat, do not change places, do not sit on board, do not overload the boat in excess of the established norm, do not roll near the locks, dams, dredging shells, in the middle of the fairway of the river.
  • Do not leave the children unattended near the water.
  • Do not allow children to swim in unfamiliar places, all the more jump from cliffs.
  • Do not allow children to swim far.
  • Do not allow children if they do not know how to swim, go into the water without inflatable circles and further than to the waist.
